We have a new "Goff"!

(Tho her last name is Fogel).

Wren Elizabeth grabbed our hearts. 

Can't wait to hold her! 

On 5-30-16 

The princess came our way,

Extra special because ...

It's also her daddy's birthday!

Weighing 6lbs, 14 ounces

And named after the bird,

She's 19 inches long

And looks like Patrick, we've heard.

In the pix I see Lissa, 

Wren's beautiful mom.

She's a mighty good baby

Who mostly stays calm.

When I asked what about her

Is like me, the fave aunt?

"Her attitude", Lissa said.

(I can handle that--some can't).

I love the cuddly pic

In her hand-knitted cocoon.

Mom calls it Wren's "pouch", 

What? Is mommy a roo?

Congrats to Patrick & Lissa!

You're in for some joys.

So excited she's a girl!

Since princesses aren't boys.

Can't wait to meet you, Wren!!

Joseph Alexander Goff: July 6, 2014

Joseph Alexander has made his entrance!
8 lbs 12 oz of curly-headed sweetness.
Born at 8:28 a.m.
21 inches of big ole boy "lengthness".

"He'll share Pepaw's birthday!"
we'd hear kinfolk say.
But he waited a few hours
so he'd have his own day.

James isn't too sure about this brand new Goff.
At first he seemed a little put off.

It won't be long til he's Joseph's best bud.
They'll be sharing, playing, and maybe.....
wrestling in mud!

Mommy is looking so beautiful;
Her heart's in the clouds.
And their new little man
Makes Daddy so proud!

Can't wait to meet you in October, Joseph!

James Madison Goff - December 10,2011

Today's James' birthday,
We're so glad!
He arrived this morning
To join his mommy and dad!

Jakeb had everything lined out,
Prepared and ready!
Tho he was a little antsy,
Lacey was calm and steady.

If she made a sudden noise
Or any kind of sound,
He just knew it was time
For James to come 'round.

The wait was well worth it.
James is healthy and strong!
He weighs 8 lbs, 2 oz.
And is 20.5 inches long.

Welcome to the family, James Madison Goff!
We love you already!

Gerald Henry Goff - December 2, 1922

Today's Papaw's birthday
He was born in '22.
He had such a strong presence,
Which I still feel, don't you?

What a great man
To family and town,
He was honest and warm,
And sometimes liked to clown.

He was a WWII veteran,
Raised by a single mom.
He learned work ethics early
And passed them along.

Now his singing -- oh man.
It'd make the dog howl!
He'd sing so off-key
That we'd finally call "foul!"

But out on the golf course
Papaw had a mean shot.
Always straight down the middle!
Yep, his game was hot.

He was our Pop and our Papaw,
So smart and so cool!
Made us feel so important
Even when we acted a fool.

He kept me from dropping out
When I turned 16.
(I was gonna move to Albert Pike,
And sew flowers I'd seen).

He was devoted to our Mother,
Their many years were so fine.
Gerald was estatic with Edith.
Tho it was too short of a time.

Julie and Bill Boy made him
Proud beyond measure!
I was his "13- year- old daughter" --
A sentiment I treasure.

Pop's kids and his grandkids
Were his joy and delight
Pam and David included,
He loved ya'll at first sight!

Today's Edith's birthday
We're so glad.
Let's see how many
She has had......

She's sharp, she's cool,
And seems so young.
It's hard to believe
That she's 91!

She plays bean bag baseball,
Dominos and cards.
She is totally unbeatable
(never lets down her guard!)

Can't get her by phone?
She's probably playing bingo.
Or gone with Gus and her peeps
To the Broken Bow casino!

And remember our cruise?
That was totally fab!
Except for getting FLASHED
As we stepped out of the cab!

She adopts orphaned doggies.
Provides a home that is nice.
That's especially appreciated
By Tessa and Spice!

Edith joined our family
And became a Goff
Back in '99
When she married my Pop!

Such a sweet, loving lady,
And what a blessing, too!
To her stepkids and grandkids,
Friends, nieces, and nephew.

He's all grown up

He's busy with family:

And they're never a dud!

We went fishing and camping.
