She's 28!!

She's moved to Iowa
Where there's row after row
Of huge, green cornfields,
And so much snow!

She's learning "Midwestern"
You betcha, don'tcha know?
Oh, and did I mention,
Yah, there's so much snow?

She found her dream job
Of which she was yearnin'.
She researches stuff to see
If it's the best learnin'.

If you have a problem
The challenge she'll meet,
She'll crank up Excel
To make a spreadsheet!

She's beautiful and funny,
And has a big heart.
And with her cute TexAr accent
She sounds very smart!

Jakeb found you and nurtured
And gave you a name.
Now you're so pretty
And really quite tame.

Not sure of your breed
We know you're not Lahsa.
But it really doesn't matter cuz

It's the year of the poem
For Aunt Pam, too.
She's 57 today
But looks 32!!

She's a wife and a mom,
A mimi and sis.
A daughter, an auntie.
(Has it been total bliss?)

She's a guardian angel
For a ka-zillion pets,
And the children she teaches.
(Oh, the pleasure she gets!)

She loves teaching so
That she's counting the days,
Til she can retire
And have fun and play(s?).

3 more years, trust me
And take my advice.
You'll start thinking in rhymes,
But retirement is nice!

Today's David's birthday
We're so glad
Let's see how many he has had

Whoa!! Double nickels!!
(Not as old as it used to be!)

Right now he's in Kansas
Where there's lots of strong wind,
And grandsons and Justin
And several other kin.

Soon he'll be rolling,
As we again hit the road,
In Missouri he'll trout fish--
Hope he catches a load!

He'll hit the Midwest
To see some more states,
 Iowa, South Dakota.
Maybe some Great Lakes?

He'll study his maps
And head to "who knows?"
And I reckon I'll follow
Wherever he goes.

But for now we will sing
And please don't be grim.

He was just recently 33.

We always sang "and many more".
It worked! Now jakeb's 34!
To some of us he will always be
The first kid of the family.

Tho at times he is a tad insane,
(remember that day he jumped from a plane?)
He sure can act out all 12 Days
He's got the moves and knows all the ways.

He loves to watch The Office, but do not fear,
Cuz now he's LEMS Teacher of the Year!
Today is his day. Try not to cry
As we sing to this wild and crazy guy!
