Today's Memaw's birthday
She'd be 88.
Her smile sure is missed
But we can still celebrate.
We can all get together
Or talk on the phone,
We can email "Memaw memories"
--maybe make up a poem.
Remember the time
When Jakeb was young,
That she stopped our Santa scam
And said, "it's just Honeybun!"
Or the time Laura called her
With a trick in the plan,
And said "Hello, Memaw?
It's me, the water man!"
Maybe tonite after supper
Her fave you could make--
Some strawberries, cool whip,
And Angel Food cake!!
She taught us so much,
About loving each other.
So let's remember and sing
Happy Birthday, Memaw and Mother!
